Companies from the business electronic communications sector are joining forces to establish the Electronic Communications Industry Employers’ Association. The parties have signed a letter of intent and formal procedures are currently under way to officially formalise the cooperation. The initiative brings together companies representing approximately 90% of the mass communications market in Poland, with the aim of, among other things, promoting awareness of mobile technologies in business, conducting market research, and developing and effectively deploying new technologies.

The Employers’ Association is being formed by 20 entities, including the 5 largest companies in the SMS communications space, representing nearly 90% of the mass SMS communications market in Poland – both in terms of number of customers served and SMS traffic generated. Its founding members include LINK Mobility Poland (SMSAPI.pl), Materna Communications (mprofi.pl), SerwerSMS Polska (SerwerSMS.pl), Tide Software (tidemobile.pl) and Vercom (REDLINK.pl). The Association is open to further entities operating in the field of modern electronic communications channels, including mobile, chatbots and email communication.

Together with representatives of the largest companies in the sector, we have decided to establish the Electronic Communications Industry Employers’ Association. We need an organisation in which, as specialists in this field, we can jointly develop knowledge and share experience. The Association will represent our collective interests, for example on matters relating to telecommunications legislation, in negotiations with telecommunications operators, and in presenting expert opinions on issues related to mobile communications. – says Krzysztof Szyszka, CEO of Vercom S.A.

The Association formed by companies from the sector aims to represent a unified voice on matters relating to mobile communications – particularly important when implementing new technological and legislative solutions. – We want to take a coherent position on changes that will affect all of us. As an Association, we plan to work effectively with telecommunications operators, which is essential to ensure universal access to new technologies such as RCS messaging. We believe these will soon become the foundation of mobile communication, which is why we are focused on negotiating favourable terms that will benefit the entire industry. – comments Daniel Zawiliński, Managing Director of SerwerSMS Polska.

The Association’s member companies also share a commitment to promoting awareness of mobile technologies in Poland. The Association plans to organise seminars, conferences and other forums for the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge. – This is a remarkable opportunity for each company to share knowledge and expertise and to educate the market even more effectively. The events we intend to organise will target businesses across all sectors. We will demonstrate the benefits of mobile technologies and text communication, their effectiveness, and how easy it is to create omnichannel campaigns. – adds Wojciech Kaczmarek, CEO of LINK Mobility Poland.

Mobile communications is a fast-evolving and rapidly changing industry, which requires constant learning, the pursuit of new concepts and market research. – Within the Association, we will establish a team dedicated to the effective deployment and use of new mobile technologies in the Polish market. We want to introduce emerging innovations as quickly as possible – not just to follow trends, but to set them. We believe that by leveraging advantages in new, innovative niches, we will also be able to develop our activities in international markets. – says Piotr Herman, Managing Director of Materna Communications.

The Employers’ Association will also carry out market research and analysis activities and provide advisory services to its members. A dedicated area will also be created to support member companies in their recruitment efforts. – In such a specialised field as mobile technology, we are constantly in need of new, ambitious and well-educated employees. We would like to nurture young, motivated individuals so they can grow in this space, while also attracting established industry experts. With the breadth of knowledge we can offer them collectively, this will be far more achievable than if each company were to do it alone. – says Janusz Pytlak, Vice-President of Tide Software.
