Learn moreVercom S.A., a company within the R22 technology group specialising in omnichannel communication, is investing in UserEngage, the creator of a marketing automation software platform. Vercom will acquire a 30% stake for PLN 10 million, with an option to purchase a majority stake in subsequent years. Through this investment, R22 will strengthen its technological capabilities, broaden its product portfolio and expand its international operations.
UserEngage is a platform that helps online businesses sell more. Currently, over 75% of the company’s customers are based outside Poland. Over the past two and a half years it has won the hearts of marketers and salespeople alike. The platform allows marketing professionals to personalise communication across channels such as live chat, bots, email marketing, SMS, WebPush and VoiceCall. With all channels in one place, UserEngage customers can better tailor their communication and sales processes to the expectations of their audiences.
– We are pleased to announce yet another success for the R22 Group in business development through acquisitions. The investment in UserEngage represents a significant strengthening of our competencies and product offering, and an important step towards building a technology group with international reach. This young, ambitious team has created and continues to develop software on the global market that streamlines sales, customer acquisition and customer service – software that fits perfectly into our Group’s portfolio. – said Jakub Dwernicki, CEO of R22.
The marketing automation solutions market is one of the fastest-growing MarTech segments, and UserEngage is gaining new customers in the international market at a rapid pace. The company’s monthly recurring revenue of PLN 200,000 is nearly four times higher than a year earlier. UserEngage targets the broadest segment of the market – solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises – competing effectively on the global stage with companies such as HubSpot, Intercom and ActiveCampaign.
– Being part of the R22 Group will give us access to a broad customer base in the Polish market and allow us to leverage the group’s experience and know-how, particularly in sales and organisational support. We expect that our cooperation with R22 will translate into even faster growth and a stronger position in the global marketing automation market. – said Grzegorz Warzecha, founder of UserEngage.
The investment in UserEngage, a globally operating product, is yet another step for the R22 Group towards becoming a player of international significance. Earlier in 2018, the Group completed three acquisitions in the Romanian hosting and domain market, establishing a market-leading position in that country. The Group also invested in Appchance, a software house operating on the global market. For Vercom, the acquisition also opens a new sales channel for its SMS and email products.
– UserEngage perfectly fits the DNA of both Vercom and the R22 Group – in terms of both team and technology. We are strong believers in automated marketing solutions, particularly those delivered in the SaaS model. The company is appreciated not only by its customers but also by the broader business community, as evidenced by numerous awards and accolades. We are confident that with financial and organisational support we will achieve success together in the global market. – added Krzysztof Szyszka, CEO of Vercom.
Companies using UserEngage increase conversion rates and customer engagement on their websites, streamline the work of marketing, sales and customer support teams, and effectively generate sales leads that can, over time, become loyal customers.
UserEngage is built by a team of over 25 ambitious and dedicated professionals. The company is one of the winners of the “Aulery” competition for the best technology startup, has been taken under the patronage of Kulczyk Investment as part of the inaugural “InCredibles” programme, and also participated in the “Google Residency” programme.
