Łukasz Piecuch is Chief Technology Officer [CTO] at cyber_Folks S.A., a technology group providing hosting, domain, e-commerce services and related digital products to hundreds of thousands of customers in Poland and foreign markets. As CTO, he is responsible for the Group’s entire technology area – infrastructure, data centers, hardware, maintenance and monitoring – overseeing an infrastructure of more than 2300 physical servers located across several data centers, as well as the architecture, performance and security of the products built on it.
A technologist who built his expertise from the ground up, with broad hands-on programming experience, he has been associated with the hosting industry since 2006 – the year in which he founded his own hosting company, Futurehost, a widely respected premium hosting provider for demanding customers. For more than a decade, he led the design of server clusters and supervised the integration of systems necessary to operate a hosting business. In 2017, the company was acquired by cyber_Folks, bringing both its technology and its founder into the Group. This entrepreneurial experience means that he understands business not only from an engineering perspective, but also from an ownership and commercial perspective – having previously been fully responsible for the strategy, operations and results of his own company.
Since joining cyber_Folks, Łukasz has been one of the main driving forces behind the Group’s technological development. As Director of the Development Department since 2022, he has led research and development work and the development of new products and functionalities, and also steered the Company early and decisively towards artificial intelligence.
He defined the strategy, vision and architecture of cyber_Mind – the foundation on which AI in the Group is based – and robo_Folks, a breakthrough AI assistant capable of performing technical operations directly on customers’ hosting accounts, as well as the launch of a new hosting platform and the implementation of a content delivery network [CDN].
His programming expertise is also reflected in the book he authored, “Flash i PHP. Tworzenie systemu e-commerce”, published by Helion [2010]. He completed a master’s degree in computer science at the University of Rzeszów; he also studied at Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra.
